Encampment Beta

I wanted to try and hit encampent this weekend but from what I understand there is an access gate that need to be opened first. Does anyone know if that gate has been opened and if the flows are at good level to run it?

Call the campground listed in CRC2.

Encampment

As of last Thursday, none of the three access roads to the put in were open. The river was running then but has since dropped to what I would consider too low to run. However, it is supposed to be warm this week and Memorial Day traffic may have busted through the snow drifts to the put in through the Blackhall Mt road

I would let at least 250 be hitting the gauge at the put-in. I did it at a ridiculously low flow (approx 150) last year over the 4th of July and we still had fun. Loooong paddle out on class II though so give lot's of time if you decide to run it that low.
