I got to reply... Pancho's better than the eddie line is just about like sayin that boatin around empire is better than BV
.... You wont find food like in Apen here in BV but Aspen is only about a hour drive and if I am going to drive to eat a great world class meal that is where I am goin!!! Fair to say bv is not and will never be Aspen dining and I dont expect it from the BV spots...
Here is my 2 cents and a perspective from the last 35 years of livin and eatin out here in BV enough to memorize every menu.... Also to all you "locals" (ron and the rest) who move out in the winter - you just dont understand what it takes to run year round here in BV... Sept to May is a long time and if you dont have a niche you wont make it even 1 year.. From who I talk to I would put money down that the Eddie Line will be here for years...
So here in my a - b - c list of places to eat here in BV...
The A list
Asian Palate - hands down the best place in town...
Eddie line - I have had good food, beer, and see old friends every time I go.. I also cant see why anyone would want a amica's clone down there..
Global Garage - Good dinners with a changin menu also they have the Royal with cheese... A great burger and I just like orderin it...
Mothers - good food and a sweet outdoor beer garden..
Casa Del Sol - Many dont like it but the best mexican in town..
Evergreen - THE bfast and lunch spot.. A list for sure -thanks Barb!
Biggies - best sandwich shop in town. New this year but gettin it right on a lot of their subs.
The B list
Jans - Chicken fried chicken or Mountain Mama cant go wrong with either.
Rope - Just have to give connie and rick a plug! Open until 10 pm so you can get a burger after the evening #'s or Lake creek missions..
Coyote Cantina - is what it is and if you like it it is ok.. Sleeper bfast spot..
Rooster - kinda unknown and less busy bfast and lunch spot.
The C list
Panchos - Hell everyone has eaten here.. It is what it is but I would say she is even a C even in BV..
Gunsmoke - If you like talkin with truckers it is ok..
Punkeys - if it was not all fast food it would be in the B list..
Quincy's - pretty much the only place in BV that I will not eat... When I go to get a steak I want to pay for and get a real good steak... Not the cheapest meat avaliable that week..
Just off the top of my head but that is how I would rate them. The eddie line is on my A list and I have not seen a reason to drop them when I have been in there..
