The first combined rafting and kayak festival will be held on the Rio Quijos Nov. 1 &2, 2003 sponsored by the town of El Chaco. The El Chaco locals are super interested in river running and although not very experienced, they want to support the growing whitewater interest in Ecuador. The event will include kayak and raft races as well as Ecua-style parties. It will be held a couple miles downstream of Small World Adventures riverside lodge and SWA is offering a special festival trip. Get 8 days of great padding in the Quijos and Napo valleys for the price of our normal 7 days. The cost is $1425 and it includes about everything except drinks of course (we´re not that generous!). You would need to arrive Oct 31 and departure day would be Nov. 8. You can´t delay on this one, come down and paddle on some big playruns and great creeks while entertaining the locals!
