Early Season Boating

What boating will be available this March? Last season we had the pleasure of the Salt and all of Arizona but that will not be an option this year with the 5% snowpack. I am heading to Cali for two weeks this April but I need some March warm up.

-Westwater.....sucks
-Rockwood? Will it be free of ice?
-Maybe the Piedra, I have run it a couple times in March but the snowpack sucks.
-Idaho? Staircase run? Is this qaulity or just a long drive to freeze my ass off? NF Payette?
-Will Gore release early with that huge snowpack? Does it have ice?
-Escalante? How does the snowpack look? Will it not run until April?
-NM, probably out of the question. I know the Embudo isn't going to run.
-Poach the Grand?

I feel like we are really close, I just don't have plan for March. Any tips or advise would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Re: Early Season Boating

Rockwood - probably iced, go look at it and let us know.
Piedra maybe but doubtful
The black canyon might run - they were letting out 700 the other day.
I am depressed...

I would love to boat with you in march. I have a van with a bed! Its a great shuttle van and a good place to warm up in after we paddle. pm me if you want a real partner.
