I love my NRS Plunge dry-top. It's $200 bucks on the NRS website, and way better then my last Lotus dry-top

My vote is for the Gore-tex Kokatat. If you paddle a lot don't even consider a gore-tex substitute. The Kokatat is pricey, but 7 years from now when you realize you haven't had a drop of water leak through the top you'll think it was a bargain.

Bomber gear is coming back

Check out ebay for bomber gear. You can still buy a bunch of new stuff there, and I hear they might be coming back selling factory direct over the net around september with a new run, but I can't confirm. I do know there's still a bunch of new bomber gear floating around cyberspace...

AquaSeal works for me!

One of these days I'm going to make a drytop completely out of AquaSeal and DuctTape and prove that it will last as long and be as dry as any $300 top!
Do you thing they will sponsor me?
Please take a look at my Photo Web Gallery.
I also have here some gear reviews (that I might update soon).

I love my NRS (same one that nathans posted). And they have a great warranty. The fuzzy rubber on the tunnel delaminated after two years use and they sent me a new one.

Another Kokatat plug.....I've paddled in mine for over 10 years and the thing is still bone dry (gaskets replaced once). I haven't had the need to even look so I don't know what quality is being produced these days. I know what I'll buy again when I have to!!!

I have used an NRS and it works fine however all of my friends that have had one says they leak bad. My friend has a stohlquist and it seems to work fin for him. I personally think that the IR X jacket is the best out there right now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I also have not seen any come back to the shop where I work. That being said I don't think you need to spend a lot of money on GORE-Tex. Most drytops don't leak through the material they leak through the gaskets and the seams. GORE-Tex isn't going to breathe that much better anyways so I personally don't think it is worth it. Oh and stay a way from bomber gear, why buy a drytop that has seam sealed pockets, a waterproof zipper and then a mesh drain hole in the bottom of the pocket? Something is not right in the designer's head over there and I have heard more complaints about that company than any other.
