DragoRossi Demos in Colorado

I am scheduled to be in Durango area the last three weeks of March and am bringing out some demo boats for the fine folks of Colorado to try (finally).
I'm out there for work (the "real" job) so my focus will be on setting up a way to have the boats travel the state in the spring so that you guys can check them out. This is totally grass roots, fly by the seat of your pants, down home type of stuff so please have some patience.

The Thruster is already out there (buried in all that nice snow you guys have)
I can put 4 boats on my car and am thinking of bringing a
Critical Mass
Pintail
Squashtail

is there another model that people have been jonesing to try?

I love my Mafia, but the Gangsta has the same great hull and would fit more people. Might be better to bring it.

Not sure on that one........I paddled a Mafia for two years happily before upgrading to a Critical Mass. I am 270lbs and 6'1" and it still did fine. I do think the CM is a better boat for big guys though. Just need to wedge an L sized seat in the one i have (got it used). Easier said then done from what I hear. I do really like Drago boats, but I've always had a taste for Corran's designs.

There is another new creeker design, called the Mad Boy ( have a look at Imagine News to check it out ) coming out that focuses more on bombing down the river and just having a good day, rather then something designed for out and out hard core creeking. Corran is also designing it with a mind for speed over maneuverability (rather then vice versa for the CM and Mafia) so it should be a good "under 9ft." race boat. Should be a good addition to the Drago lineup.

The Mad Boy should be a good big water boat. I'm sure I'll paddle it alot when I want to go fast in a short boat. But when you need a save-my-butt-please type of boat then the Critical Mass is still the one for the job.

It makes the most sense to bring the Mafia out if I'm bringing the Critical Mass.
The Gangster is a medium sized boat so makes sense too, but I only have so much room on top of my car.

I am in Durango now, helping the folks in Ignacio at Sundown Bakery.

There are four boats for Colorado Demo here.

Critical Mass (creek boat)
Mafia creek (boat)
Pintail XL (river runner unlike any other)
Thruster (pure play)

I am looking for someone to take care of the boats and be available to let people try the boats out down here for a couple of weeks, then arrange for the boats to head up to the Front Range, probably Denver.

Dan,

We can hook it up for April for you to get the boats out there for people to play with. Is there a good day to meet you next week, perhaps halfway?

Scott
