Dowd?

What's Dowd start running at? The lowest cfs I've heard of it run at is 500, and the lowest gauge height I've heard of it run at is 1'. I don't know what the correlation between the two is, though. Is that lower than 500? Anybody know a rough correlation between the two? Thanks.

I stopped and took a look at the Chute gage last night around 5:30pm.

I think the stick said right around 1' (it was a bit hard to see) and looking at flows around then it was running around 350cfs at the treatment plant in Avon.

It looks like it would float a boat and might have some good little surfs.

it's boatable

I live right next to it, it's been runnable for over a week. It's gay low but I've (embarassingly) paddled the chute at way lower than it is now

I have been correlating CFS to FT for a 5-6 years now. Its kinda inacurate (can vary 100 cfs at a specific height mark over the years) but gives me an idea. I would say with my feeble opinion that 1.0' is 300 cfs (1.5' is 400 1.75 is 475 cfs)

hope this helps

Count,

I just biked by there a few minutes ago....its gonna be much better come this weekend...and maybe actually worth it (1.7') if it doesn't get too cold on Friday. BTW my numbers were correlated to the Avon gauge.

Cool. Anybody up for a run tomorrow (Friday) afternoon? I need to get home early evening so I'd be leaving from Golden around 11 (or Summit around 12) to get there by 1.
