Dolores River Levels

Does anyone know if you can get a 14 footer down Dolores at 900CFS? Can you get that same boat down the lower section at 1000? Thanks for any help.

Absolutely. get after it.

I think you'd be ok down to 800, maybe 700, but my personal lowest was 1000, and while we wish we had more, the only problem was with a WAY overloaded 18 footer squeezing right of the rock at snag.

I've done the gateway section as well, but with much more water. There was a tr a year or 2 ago about a gateway trip that was around 1000 or maybe 1400. Sounded ok. I hope to get on both of those sections this year.

I'v never done the middle sections, but you can float this thing from McPhee all the way to cataract, if you have 3-4 weeks to kill.

For rafting, 900 cfs is starting to feel pretty low but there is no problem at all with getting a 14 footer down the river.
