Oh yeah. I forgot its name.

Yampa in the Snow

Sometimes good friends come up with good ideas... Sometimes great friends come up with GREAT ideas. Enter Carl.

I agree with everything the Bilge Rat said. The trip was entertaining and an adventure in every sense. From the million mile drive into Echo Park from Vernal: steep, snowy, a little treacherous and endless; to the unexpected cracking of the ice and snow as I stepped on the river. Then the one thing I actually hoped not to see as I hiked: CAT TRACKS, Big as my fist, from Surprise all the way up to Warm Springs. (I kept that secret from my companions so as not to scare their wives...)

Maytag and Kenmore look harmless right now - if you can get around them. Over's not an option. I included photos and a youtube link. Enjoy.

Next adventure? Check with Carl.

(sorry about the frozen waterfall photo. I can't get it to rotate! It was one bend before Surprise)

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Warm springs look so tame in the winter!
