dog friendly camping near Ark (Buena Vista, Salida, etc)?

I'm planning on coming up with my mutts for the 4th. Can someone recommend some dog friendly camping spots with shade and non-anal property owners.

I'm pretty sure the National Forest Service allows dogs. They tend to not be too anal. Seriously, there is a ton of camping options depending on what you are looking for.

Any suggested camp spots? I've been told that a lot of places of anti-dog but that's all second hand. I'm looking for somewhere to land base camp so the dogs can hang out until we're done boating for the day.

you can camp for free at Cogans ask a raft guide or some hippy lookin kid, its on the way to ruby keep your eyes peeled.
