Does your Dagger leak?

I have a Kingpin and it is so leaky, that I have to carry diapers for the boat.

Comments?

Move up to the next size in diapers! Or maybe you boat is in need of training pants.

Remove all hardware, caulk with sillicon and re-attach. Worked for me on my last leaky boat.

You bet!

I've got two daggers and they both leak pretty bad. Most of the water comes in around the skirt combing on mine, though. Couple of options I've been given is to wrap a rubber bicycle liner around the combing of the boat to give the skirt a better contact point or buy a better skirt with a rubber rand (and not be able to get the silly thing on by myself). I don't think anything will make them dry, though. If you come up with any other ideas from people, let me know.
I've tightened all the hardware and tried to seal all the holes. It's just the way the cockpit is designed, I think. The straps for the backband go through the combing. I love the boats, so I've just decided to sit in water. I recommend neoprene or fleece shorts! I got used to it.

solution

I'm on my third kingpin and have found through much trial and error that the only skirt that will keep a kingpin dry is the wildwasser hipster. Honestly, I can paddle all day without ever using my sponge. When I wore the last one out I tried to change up and got an IR. I had gallons of water in my boat in the first few minutes. Sold the IR and went back to the wildwasser-dry as a bone. You can tighten and waterproof all your nuts and bolts all you want but the water will continue to leak around the cockpit combing. The only drawback is that the skirt is pretty hard to get on, but once it's on you are good to go. I've counselled many kingpin owners in the past. Take my advice. You will be very dry and happy

The bike tube fix worked for me for a while but then it falls off...I've had success with the IR SBD skirt, its a bungee rand with a neoprene gasket like some of those old slalom skirts. It keeps me dry in my old dagger super ego and my nomad...haven't had too much trouble with my agent yet.
