do POGIES help you roll?

I know a pop-up camper towing boater who swears the extra floatation helps his roll.

I have yet to see this work for him though....

Crack me up....

Dude, are you being serious right now? I think I know the who that you refer to! He told me the same story, then he peeled out of the eddy, took a sick line, flipped, thrashed then swam. My attempt to assist said boater proved unnecessary as a spectactular self-recuse was witnessed by many. It appeared to me that a quick poggie snatch made the paddle grab effortless. So my conclusion is even if they didn't help the pop-up camper towing boater with his roll, he swam that rapid in style and a self-rescue poggie snatch is always a welcome sight.

ps..Adgeiser, maybe someday you'll be as cool as he! One can hope huh?

Extra floatation...well I guess you can add the 2 N of bouyant force the poagie floatation force adds to helping your paddle set up on the top of the water for the sweep yes they help.

Disclaimer 2 N of force is about 1/2 pound

"Do Pogies help you roll?" is like asking "Does posting on Mtn. Buzz make me a better paddler?"

Pogies help you roll when they protect your hands from getting mashed on rocks.

only the black NRS ones help. All others actually prohibit rolling. Little known secret there.

this question is a lot like a girl in college I knew who once asked: "Do these pants make me look fat?" The only response: "No, your fat makes you look fat."

Keeping your head down and snapping your hips helps you roll.
