Diversion dam incident on Poudre (05/28/2007)

Anyone know what happened this afternoon at the diversion dam below Picnic Rock? Tons of rescue equipment. Didn't look good.

I don't live in state anymore, but considering the date, I have a feeling Bill Dvorak has something to do with it.

Watching the news now... no word about a death so maybe they came out of it okay. I agree, it didn't look good...

Is this the damn below filterplant? Or, is this the one between filter and bridges?

Saw a rescue truck and a guy with a throw bag at the bridge below Ted's place. I just thought they were practicing.

There were at least 3 fire trucks, 4 police/sherriff's cars, Several rescue vehicles, and the Dive Rescue truck with a few boats on the trailer. They were directing traffic around the emergency vehicles right at the Dam. There was also one rescue vehicle parked over the next bridge who looked like he was watching for anyone/anything floating down the river. We also saw the flight for life helicopter coming from that direction, but I dont know if it was specifically for this incident.

Badasws6,
The heli and Fox new truck that we saw was on Sunday 5/27 while running Lower Mish not on Monday 5/28. So I think there might have been a couple diff incident on the Poudre this weekend.
