The only other crew I've heard of goin in there was the 1st D about 5 years ago, a group of kayakers including the usual Alaskan suspects of the day, George Beirne, Willie Willenbrink, maybe Ben garnett and Roger kacin too. They came back with tales of a heinous bushwack to the river, so packrafts might be the craft of choice for this run

All off trail bushwacking is heinous in Alaska. It is a function of the constant sunlight in the late spring and summer. The vegetation goes crazy and grows, grows, grows! If you want to avoid the jungle bushwack, you have to explore, or climb, early in the spring. If there is still some snow on the ground, you will have a much easier time and dragging kayaks is much easier.
