Dillon is spillin'

It's been a long time(6 or 7 yrs.) since Dillon Res. spilled over through the Glory Hole(with substantial water). Flow in the Upper Blue is steadily climbing.

yeah, it did. barely. we should actually see decent flows this year though.

looks like avg. inflow>1,500 and only 500 is going through the Roberts' Tunnel.

Silverthorne Town

when the river gets over 300 thorugh the town is great whenever you get a chance to go. No more than class 2 but a couple of fun play holes. Contact me if you ever want to go...
He is right it ran about this time last year and it was running about 2 weeks ago and the lower blue was running also. I ran it about 950 cfs

I checked the historical data from last year and it did get up to 800 or so out of the dam. I don't know what I was thinking? anyways, it should get rockin' here pretty soon. ~1,000 out of the res. + ~400 or so by the time you get down to boulder creek = a good time.

So the gauge is creeping up. Whats a good flow for the upper blue? That run has been on my list to check out. Looks like it will be over 600 soon.

I ran it a couple weeks ago when they were releasing 500 out of the dam. I would guess that with all the feeder creeks dumping in downstream of the dam, it was 900 or so by the time you get to the first rapids. Anything over 600 is fun. Denver Water is forecasting the outflow to reach 1,200 towards the end of this week.

Deepsouth. I have ran it as low as 400 and as high as 2k. As with most class III to IV- Runs the more water the better. The runs in the rapids do not change regaurdless of level. I am hoping to sneak up in the am any takers? sj

It's probably good to go right now. The more flow the better though.

It's a super short run though. You can easily run it 2 or 3 times in an afternoon.
