[QUOTE][/I am thinking of rafting Deckers to Chatfield tomorrow in my super puma raft (13'1" by 5'8"). The current level is 799. I can an oar setup or can go oarless with a friend. I haven't found too many details for this stretch. Sounds like it would be fun. Anyone have any concerns or suggestions regarding this section in a raft at this level?? Thanks for any info.
(any put in/out details would be great also)

You will be fine on the deckers run, we rafter it last weekend with the kids and had a blast. The one big rapid I believe is the chutes, just make sure you enter straight and ship your oars as it is tight but you will flush right through.

Take out at the confluence and you will be fine, I would not want to haul a super puma and frame a mile out of waterton.

Have fun.

Yeah, not actually possible. Dam here: Unknown road - Google Maps

And then below that is "river" + flood plain ponds/lakes. Also, Waterton Canyon, that side of Chatfield is still closed for repairs.

Okay, ya, I just talked to a shop and it looks like I'd definitely need to take out before the res. Sounds like it will be a good time though.

We have paddle rafted Deckers in our Super Puma and it does clear the narrowest part of the Chutes but only just. Seemed like only about 2-3 inches on each side. Extra points if you nail it and get nothing but water.

Decker's isn't worth it. Take the extra time to go to the Ark or Poudre.

Pddled Deckers yesterday andi it is fun at 700 ish.. Great place to bring a newbie and lots of fun playing for those along for the paddle. Nice flow and plenty of eddies even though it has a bit of a pace, very forgiven for someone starting out, yet excitng.
