Gore Canyon 2006 is set for August 19. This years race and festivities will be as good as ever, and many of the issues from last year are resolved. As long as we stay off the railroad there will not be a security force of note at pumphouse. The river will not be closed at any time to kayakers, rafters, creature craft or tubers. We will also be running a shuttle for everyone from pumphouse to the put-in, as well as from a parking area near the put in. We are trying to make it easier for everyone and avoid the congestion that is created by private vehicles at the put-in. Everyone that enters the race this year will get a free performance wear shirt like 2005, a free beer that night to start the celebration and a great race. We will have some bands, food and of course the beer from New Belgium at pumphouse. All beer proceeds will go to CWWA, the USA raft teams and Lydia Dreher. We will have the ability to show videos on Friday and Saturday night. If you would like to have something aired let us know. Please help us make this years Gore Race a huge success for the community and a great time for everyone. Come and support the event. If you have any questions please contact me - Mark Joffe (mark@rapidpulse.com). We will be putting updates on Mountainbuzz as often as we can. Thanks
