Dagger Honcho? Foam Glue?

a buddy of mine has a dagger honcho - he had his first waterton adventure last night, and swam on the first drop. while trying to get his boat to eddy out, i noticed his foam pieces floating down the water (not in boat) - so a while ago he glued them in with whatever glue they sell at the shops, but upon inspection i see that the center foam brace that goes between your legs (that came out) - is not held in with any part of the boat guts, and i guess is just glued in.

my old school ride has this piece built into the plastic frame . . . is there something else he should do besides glue it back in to keep it in place? is this a typical boat design, or just a crappy design on this particular model? any other honcho boaters out there with similar experiences? any dagger rep out there willing to step up and exchange this boat with a better one?

thanks in advance - S

I paddle a Honcho and swim alot, my pillar isn't glued in and has never come out. It is held in the boat under the cockpit rim and in the subframe there is a ridge that keeps it in place, Actually I took it out the other night to claean out sand and had to really wiggle and pull to get it out.

Does his have the subframe and rear pillar in it? the three peices work together to keep them selves in place.
