Crystal Gorge

I really want to run at least the upper gorge of the Crystal later this year. Is the hike out of there after Pine Tree Falls difficult?
Anyone have any video of this run?

No, it is actualy a lot easier than getting out of the inner gorge. There is a railroad grade on the left. Just be sure to get out before the box closes in. It's an excelent run. Enjoy!

It's one helluva cool place, but the length is frustrating. Blink and you're done, especially if you only run the upper gorge. As far as the portage, if you're stout enough to paddle the gorge you're stout enough to handle a downhill portage

Never done the Crystal Gorge, but I'd imagine that access is blocked by snow this early in the season.
