Cripps Hole Strikes Again!

Good ole Cripps hole continues to dish out carnage! Over the last several times I have run clear creek in the last week there has been a swimmer at Cripps hole every time it has been run. Ouch! Paddlers are getting out of the creek quickly on river left and we have been recovering gear by portaging the dam and chasing boats into golden. As the flow drops, the swims will become more punishing. Its a mean hole right now. Worth taking a look.

Far left boof line goes, and flushes. Likely flip upon impact, but don't panic like I did and at least try to roll because you'll probably float away upside down. Seems like the upsurging water on the left kind of keeps you from getting sucked in.

I escaped Cripps Hole carnage yesterday with the biggest, most vertical stern ender I've ever managed to flatten out. Make sure to paddle hard and hit your boof stroke even on the left line.
