could someone help me identify these kayaks

i am considering buying these two old town kayaks the guy says they are otters but i cannot find them online and do you think i should buy them they come with skirts and paddles and pfds all for 500

Sure. they're not for whitewater. do not buy them. Unless of course lakes are what you're after.

whitewater's far more fun.

Yep that is exactly what they are old town otters, these are great boats to float around a pond or small lake and fish/drink beer in.

If you are looking for a basic recreation flat water kayak that is a good deal, if you are looking to kayak down a river then absolutely do not buy these.

I learned in an Old Town Otter Sport. It was fine on everything up to Browns Canyon. Definitely handles like shit and does not stay very dry. Not intended for whitewater. Not a terrible boat to go float Deckers and learn the basic strokes, but for that amount of money I would pass.
