The upper section of the Pejibaye is a ton of fun. Good class IV stuff in there. The Reventazon and Pacure are also good to go.

The Reventazon is pretty dirty so definately drink your Guaro as suggested by the last post. I wouldn't go down the Reventazon without a guide that knows the river. There are some big holes in there that are easy to avoid, but would be terrible to get caught in.

Have Fun!

costa rica

I just went to Costa Rica with Huge Experiences and it was awesome. It rained everyday so the water was high and we couldnt do some of the runs. But you should definately do the Pejibaye its fun class four and theirs a pretty good play hole at the bottom. The other run we were going to do was a section called the Florida that supposedly had a wave that was better than the garburater wave.

Reventazone

There is great sthe Reventazone, but like others said the river is dirty and dying from an illplanned damn. (Similar problems will happen to the Pacuare if they decide to follow through with their plans so be sure to sign a petition when you are down there.) The old Peralta section of class five hardley rins anymore because of the damn, but Pascua does and it is fun big water class four. If I remember right always take the left channel. In one instance about 2 or 3 miles into the Pascua section going to the right leads to some very destructive holes. I was in town for a while and the gringo opps took me down for next to nothing whenever I wanted so long as I'd pick up swimmers that fell out of rafts, so you might want to check them out.
