Colorado Snow Water Equivalent for all parts of the State

Check this site. It shows the current snow water equivalent for each part of the state. Good to keep an eye on for looking at what basin will give you what water.

It shows that Escalante still has a lot of snowpack!!!!

That site is OK, but the one below gets my vote for coolest-ever kayaker high water lusting site:

NRCS Google Earth SNOTEL Data Layer

NRCS National Water and Climate Center | SNOTEL Data & Products

Click on the Google Earth link, and don't save the kmz file to ensure you get a fresh copy each time.

graphic pic

For those of us who are techno idiots check this site out: it's got pictures and every thing. You can also go back to 1980 and see what what was going on in any month in green.
Have fun.

From today's Herald:

"Spring storm expected to dump as much as 20 inches of snow in some parts of the San Juan Mountains by this evening - and another storm is expected to blow in tonight."

Yeehaw! With the good snowpack and these late storms, things could get crazy! Anybody know how our spring precip compares to '95? I remember 2 or 3 dumps around 18" in Summit that April so I think we're still a little off of what we had then but possibly not as far as I thought.
