Anyone willing to help clean west fork on sunday?
Dan & I are going to try to get rid of the 2 portages in 1.5 miles!
Extra chainsaws would be appreciated, I've got a battery one, but that's it.
hey twicth, are you refering to the "L" log on the "down under" section that i shouldn't be asking about? if you get down there check the "down under" section as well as the upper gorge. and now, let us never speak of this again.
That's sweet you folks are getting some cutting in. Just make sure to leave the big log jam there as a filter. Clean and groom it, but leave it. I just had surgery 2 or I would love to help. My saw might be available if you get me soon.
Gary, we agree that "filters" are important on this run. we'll only remove wood to eliminate portages.
let's shoot for 11am-ish at the Emipre-West Townhomes. it should take a couple of hours to hike the entire run and remove wood. i suggest that we don't park at the takeout since there's a question of property ownership and our cleaning should be on the dl.

It's a super secret log Kaleb and I are hiding for ourselves. It's o'er dem hills where folks race them "8 cars" and have heard of them "tv's" but never actually watched.
Talk to Kaleb & see if he'll let you in on the thing. He has fond memories of it as do those of us there to watch him throw a hissy fit (again).
