Beginner Downriver Paddle
Pretty new to kayaking? Have you learned the basics but not much
experience on the water? Then the beginner downriver paddle is
perfect for you! Members of the CKSquad and RMOC guide staff will be
leading a fun, class II river run from Big Bend down to Salida.
Highlight rapids along the trip are:
*Dam boat chute (TONS of fun, but can also be portaged)
*FibARK Hole
This run is perfect for those newer to boating and looking for a fun,
safe, and social environment to paddle in. Cost is $15 per person.
We will be meeting in the courtyard between CKS and RMOC at 1:00 PM
Sunday, July 16th. Shuttle will be provided by RMOC staff and vans.
No gear? No problem. Gear can be rented through CKS at an extra $25 for everything you need to enjoy the paddle.
Pre-Requirements: Taken an intro to kayaking course through RMOC or
equivalent experience
