Cinnamon Gorge Levels

Does anyone know when Cinnamon gorge is a good level for the big falls? Hoping to head over there this summer/spring and fire some shit up!!

"some shit"....hmm. you"ll find some there. That is one hard ass hit. We went in when the gauge was reading 300...and it was way to low. Look for: (estimated, after the low run).

lk fork @ bayfield
min 400
ideal 500 ish
max ? 600 ?

don't bother trying to scout the falls from the canyon's edges....more importantly....scout your River Right take-out eddy. From there, you can climb up and over the hills pass and scout the "dam" drop from the outcropping on RR.

its going to be a while until cinny is low enough to run. the snowpack in those parts is deeeeeep and the lake fork basin is going to go off this year, which will probably mean later than usual flow windows.

the wood situation will likely be much worse next spring with this avy-prone snowpack we have here currently.

1st d fellows told me to look for ~ 1000 on Lake Fork gage. Seemed about right when we were there.
