Chukar Road good to go?

Some of us are going to run down Gunny Gorge this Sunday. I just wanted to make sure the road was good to go. I know that Mancos Shale becomes like snot with little water and was concerned about melting snow making it impassable. Anyone know of the condition? Also, I know going down to the trailhead is east-facing - is it melted out?

Also, does anyone have beta on Smith Creek. I know flows go early in that area (maybe not this early). We would be up for it if it floats a boat to add a little more excitement to a Gunny Gorge trip. Can you hike up and run the lower half from the Gunnison? Thanks.
