Christopher Creek ...... goods!

Our Durango crew got lucky with good flows. It was a sick creek and I loved the Lebowski theme! Sic drops, some portages but well worth it. Here are some pics. We got on two days and the second day was a little higher. Baker ran a left line at Big Lebowski, we called it Larry's line, to keep with the theme. More than once I found myself thinking "Do you see what happens larry.....". Good shit, we got tons of footage here are some stills.

Good work Kev!
-We went in feb 27th & 29th. Dan, Baker, Kev, and myself. After driving to the campground and arriving at 4:30am we looked at the water we thought might be there, marked the level, and went to bed.
- After waking up and looking at the marker and flow in front of us, words that Kyle M. wrote me came to mind, "It will look embarassingly low." That was one thing that we had going for us. Fuck it. Let's run this thing.
-Once we reached the entrance drops and noticing that they looked good compared to some of Cody's footage, we dropped. The drops were kinda manky but cleaned up some as descending commenced. Eddy's were good and made things managable between drops.

Sorry, I posted accidently.

-Baker ran roy's solo and cleaned it. Whew! things were looking good. Around the corner you can feel the gradient drop.
-Triple drop is just plain fun. No doubt about it.
-Some drops and some portages below.
-Donnies is awesome, but it is hard not to think about Big lewie right below.
-Big L steps thing up a bit. As if things weren't already good enough. After a long scout and balls shirinking its time to go. Two stayed up top to vid. I lost the rocham. I guess this is what I get for suggesting this creek to good crew. Time to fire. Boof, curtain, blind, shelf, color, blind, blind, deep, upright, and screaming. Adrenaline on meth. What a place to be. Fire for the crew. Everyone had good lines. Sit back and love it.
-Little L is just the stripper in the cake. I'm looking happy in there.
-Now, time for a little portage work. Don't worry, it's worth it. This is where a good crew is going to make a lot of difference. Look at everything and have escape eddy's! You will eventually work your way down.
-The beaver picture went ok for some people and bad for others. I almost chopped my head off with my paddle the second run. I will let the vid tell the story when it comes out. Hopefully soon.
-Great creek. Not for everyone! Lots of work. Remote and saftey is marginal. I can't believe they got Roy out of that canyon with a broken ankle. Very commiting. You will need a solid crew. Worth it if you can hack it. Obscure V+. Hardly runs.
-Thanks for beta from Cody Howard and Kyle McCutchen. You guys definately helped make it happen.
- If there was a fun fact from the old CRC- First run of the season? Why the fuck not! - We already know what ES & KM think about it.

Props to Jen Ross out of D-town for being the first chic to fire Christopher Creek with the big lines all day.

I know you flipped Gar... and I'm also betting that Mulkey owed ice cream.

Nice vid. Props to both the crews that fired it up. "Is this your homework Larry?"

WSR Edit: Gauge is entirely visual. The barometer sucks. It's been running when Hellsgate is too low... and when Hellsgate is high. It seems to like snowmelt.
