chile kayak blog

Some friends from Chile have been working on their blog, some sweet photos and video. If you haven't been to Chile its really amazing. Take a look at the kayakpo blog if you havent seen it before and think about heading south for the winter to do a little boating.

On the first post, you'll read (in Spanish) about Kayakpro Team Rider, Raul, and his experiences with boating, livng, and workingin BV.

Also check the photos his wife, Fica, took of the new feature in BV. It was fun today...spins, low angle ends, and a sunny day!

ciao,

Bryan Owen

They run some great trips in Chile actually. Part of their ongoing education is learning about marketing in the states, so hopefully when they are able to buy a banner ad they will do so on the buzz. Personally, I think their pics and blogs add to the site, so if you don't like their marketing tactics then you dont need to click on their posts and photos. I'm not sure why the big deal is being made about kayakpro buying an ad???

I think this has already been discussed, but I will give you my point of view..
I like the Buzz.. I like it a lot, and am grateful for the folks that put a lot of time in effort into it. They need to make some money to keep the site up & running. As far as I can tell paying for a banner is the main source of their income.

So, then a company comes along and sees an obvious method of advertising on a site w/o paying for it.. How would you feel if you were the owner of this site, and someone was obviously taken advantage of the spirit of "Recent photo" portion....

I like some of their photos as well, but you cnt tell me their intentions are only to enlighten us with quality shots... My point of view.

I have little opinion of Kayakpro… I have never used them, but it sounds as if you have some experience with them.. I am sure they are good guys etc, I just think they shouldn’t take advantage of the buzz..
