Check out this hydrograph

The old high water mark 6/27 was just over 300 cfs.
Today the river is flowing at 59,000 cfs.

Funny you should post this. That river runs right through my parents ranch! Wierd to see someone post this on mountainbuzz. I should call them to make sure their barn is still on its foundation. That is a crazy river. It can not be running at all, then flooding like crazy. That is what you get in the hill country of Texas. I have run this stretch many times, but never at 59,000!

"In Marble Falls, a city 40 miles northwest of Austin that recorded 18 inches rain in six hours..." according to one report.

30-day rainfall accums here in the Dust Bowl region are silly high. Still need some of your mountains here, though. For the most part, we're gradient-challenged. We'll take some of your snow, too, so we can have some kind of dependable run-off. So we're left to hunt down spillways and stuff, like this ('scuse the low-res; it's clipped from a video).
