Chatfield Releases WTF!!

Does anyone know why Chatfield would stop releasing? Is there any one to contact about some type of schedule? I'm stuck in town this weekend and had planned to do Union/Confluence. I know there are concerns over high water, but no water!!

Chatfield

There is no easy way to explain why they are conserving water, but they are. So, I'd head up to Golden or Boulder playparks insted. Try to keep you head up, becuase this year you have plenty of options.

I suspect the downstream water rights owners were calling for X amount to fill their reservoirs for the sping so Chatfield released a shit load of water. Now that Bear Creek, Clear Creek, Boulder Creek(s), St. Vrain, Big T, Poudre, etc. are all big time running to the Platte drainage, there is less need to send stored water out of Chatfield. So they cut it off. Happens every year about this time.
