We put in at potash and paddled 2 flatwater days to the confluence and then 2 whitewater days and then one last flatwater out to Hite. The last day had about 10 miles of zero flow and drug on a bit; no motor.

I think it was totally worth it, but if you have heavy 18' boats, the last day could be painful. You could also break up your camps differently, we stopped on Rapid #10 for the surf wave, but could have gone a few more hours and saved some struggle on the last day.

Turner drops 1 and 3 were particularly large this year. Joe's quote on shore made it all the better: "should we be in our kayaks just in case something happens" followed by a response along the lines of "it will be fine there is no way turner can swim twice from an oarboat."
