castle creek wood report / roaring fork update
Ran castle creek through slaughterhouse sunday. No wood in bad places on castle and didn't have to get out of the boats for wood.
Both castle creek and slaughterhouse were at fun medium levels on sunday, and there is a ton of snow still waiting to come down. Like much of the state, its going to likely be a banner year on the roaring fork. An article in a local paper predicted peak on roaring fork above glenwood for June 10. Castle through slaughterhouse should be at great levels around then.
Witnessed a beatdown at slaughterhouse falls. Kayaker ran it down the center, which is a bad place to be. Boat and boater were recirced for a while in there. Left is good to go, scout your lines if you don't know it and be careful!
