Cascade Ck./3rd Gorge of Lime

I'm headed to Durango today and was wondering if Cascade Creek is still running. Anyone have an update?

Probably running medium-low (was med-high on Friday).

Also, be very heads up for wood. The logs moved around alot at high water last week. There was a log right at water level in one of the tighter pinches at the bottom of a rapid on Friday. You could not see it until you were about 5 feet away. We all paddled over it. With lower water, it might make the pinch unrunnable. I think you could see it from above, but I am not sure. Also not sure about the portage options there.

Anyway, have fun if you go, but scout carefully at the tighter pinches.

Here is a pic from Sat AM to give you an idea of the level. Tall timbers gauge has dropped about 35% since then so Cascade has probably done about the same. Runnable though.

Thanks for the info. Ran it yesterday and it appeared to be low side of medium, just like jmack guessed. About the wood, I spoke to my buddy Wes who ran it earlier this week and he and his buddy pulled out the wood. Rockwood was big and fast. Durango boating always catches me off guard. Thanks again for all the information.
