camping Ruby horse theft on july 4th

How was the river this past weekend on Ruby Horse theft section of the Colorado this July 4th weekend? I had a trip planed to leave the Loma put in at noon on Friday the 4th, but was talked out of the trip. Would I have been able to get a campsite this weekend leaving mid-day?

Yup camped at black rock and there were lots of spots open.
