Tombstone is a great last camp for a small group, ideal for 9. I don't believe Lost Oak is considered a hot spring camp, so you can layover there, the hiking and fishing is good from L.O. too. Fire island is nice, but can be buggy, yet within hiking distance to sheepeater. You should have a few different plans and alternatives thought out for your launch morning.

Thank you for all of the great info! My group is 8,. Two rats, one cat. We put in on May 31st. Water level is looking good but the air could be a little chilly.
