If you're camping on any public lands next to the river you are required to have a firepan and porta-potti system of some sort. There is great free camping along CR371 N of BV right on the rive in the numbers section. Can get to 371 off of main street in B and turn north onto N Colorado Ave, it will eventuallu turn into a turt dirt (371) head north past the Midland tunnels, past the AHRA Railroad Bridge ($12+$2, also an option) and then there are 4-5 good spots to camp. Check it out.
