Camping below Big Drops

i am doing a Cat trip in a few weeks and have always rowed out through the night on lake powell. W/ current runnig past Hite marina and some sand waves i am not going to row in the night due to saftey. Has anybody been down this year or last year and can you tell me if there is any good camping below imperial rapids. Much thanks

Ran it this spring @20K, there were some campsites on the left a ways below Imperial, but cant say if it still there,, the beach was crumbling into the river all night,, made sure to set the tent up a little farther from the water,, also exciting for the middle of the night "bathroom" trips. Good Luck

Dark Canyon. The best campsite there. With a good beach, and a great canyon to hike up, small falls and pools. After that....not much else.

We paddled kayaks from Imperial to Hite in less than 3 hrs. Cat was running 50ish and the current was screaming all the way to the take out. Commercial trips camp at Imperial and still make 11:30 flights out of Hite international airport all summer long.
