We've got a small group coming out the last week of March. We're looking for class IV and lightweight V runs. Deer Creek, Giant Gap, MF of Feather, Yuba, Pauley & Laveezola were on the check out list if we went with North Cali. Can you recommend some other runs in that area if the water is too low or too high on those runs? Never been out there before so anything you can add Re: high-flow options, low-flow options would help. I know that Smith, Klamath, and Trinity aren't too far off.
Also, what about going South that time of year? Would Forks of Kern, Brush Creek, etc. likely be running? Would you take that over NorCal for that time of year?
Sorry for all the questions, but I've always gone to Cali in July and August climbing and the boating there is new to me. I DO have the Stanley/Holbeck guide, but it's older style doesn't tell you much compared to what you get in the newer style guides available to some states.
