Cadet rodeo at Lyons... need input from parents
We are SUPER stoked to announce a rodeo for kids to compete in. With the kids boats gaining populartity and the fact that it's awesome to watch your kids compete... we on the Lyons games committee have decided to have a "Cadet Rodeo" as part of the "Games". The Cadet Rodeo will be for kids under 14.
This will be in a very tame feature just above the foot bridge so family and friends can watch with perfect viewing as their kids perform whatever they want in the very safe/tame first wave, called Black Bear... Spins/rolls/front surf/side surfs will all be tallied up. The main focus is to simply have fun and win something substantial for getting in there and going for it!
At this point Jackson has stepped up as a major sponsor and will be furnishing prizes. There is even talk of maybe having a finale at Fibark which is the following weekend? Prizes are still being pulled together for this event, but it's very safe to say that they will be substantial. The main idea for this event is to promote the fact that kayaking is great for the whole family.
Here is my question....
How many folks out there have kids that would compete on June 9th at the Lyons Outdoor Games?
