Here is the update:

They were going to build 3 spots this spring. Due to unseasonably higher water they were only able to build one. HOWEVER: This one feature is shaping up to be sweet. At low flows it is already shaping up into a great looking feature. This new feature has a different design compared to all of the other playpark drops (It is not a horseshoe design). Some new theories went into the design, and it looks like this tree will bear a bad ass fruit because the low flow is already supporting these new theories.

I played in it the other day at 300CFS, and spins and clean spins were about all you could do. It is still a little to shallow for anything else. I think it will be good to go at about 500 or 600. I will post more as it comes up.

NEW UPDATE:

The new feature is getting better with more water. It was at 400CFS tonight and a group of us had a lot of fun. You can get vertical now, but it is still touchy with hitting the rock. It is a POWERFUL hole, but still easy to get out of it off of the shoulders. I am very optimistic about this thing standing up into a sweet wave/hole feature. Only time will tell......

The upstream hole is also in!

Just got out and I have to say that I think they may have created a very good spot - it is still a bit low (hittin bottom a bit) but with 150cfs or so more it looks like it will be great.

The upper spot is good to go. Not hittin bottom much at all -

Which hole is the new one, upstream or down? Did they tweak the old one at all?

Downstream is the new one - the upper hole has not been tweaked at all - it didn't need a tweakin.
