I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick "Americans" as their mascot. -Jack Handy

Flowtorch- check out their website at

The lots are very reasonable considering there location. Lots within 2 blocks of the river can be bought for around 60k. Add a 1500 sq foot house and you could be all in for a little over 200k (at the high end).

Telegirl- Its not people like you (assuming you do what you say) who give lawyers a bad name, it is the lawyers representing the companies that you are trying to prosecute. Similarly it is not the Selby's who give developers a bad name it is the people putting up crappy sprawl and charging top dollar. Almost anyone would agree that lawyers do not have the best reputation in the general public's opinion. As well, developers do not have the best reputation. Maybe the point that was edited out of the clip was that South Main is a good product and people should not be leery of it just because it is "development". Analogize that with, some lawyers are good and just because you are titled a lawyer people should not automatically think you are scum.

latenightjoneser, true dat. It's true we're in an over-litigious society, but lawyers are no different than any other people, there's good and bad everywhere. Otherwise I guess the lawyers for AW, CWWA, and GCPBA are all skeezers too. But doubt even a T-Canyon would loop The Strongarm.

And everyone still headed to the Gauley -- gotta watch Summersville Applebee's -- the all-you-can eat riblets might not be..."Did you not get all you could eat? Could you have eaten more?"

Developers and Attorneys

Well, out of context the comment was a little rugged, however, a social system does exist and I didn't invent it. There are good people in every profession and bad ones... The sprawl that is destroying the countryside is no better than guilty people getting off on murders and lawsuits that are unjustified.

This statement was not my personal opinion, just an observation. Besides, I am a developer, and catch slack for it from time to time. I am committed to change the reputation for developers and hopefully a bunch of good attorneys can do it for their industry.

Jed, I apologize for the comment and wish you good luck on your venture. You are all correct, there are good and bad reputations within every profession.

Also, remember there are assholes in all lines of work. For example, I am an asshole and am neither a lawyer nor a developer...
