Silver Bullet Complete

Wanted to share some photos of the completed improvements at the Silver Bullet. We finished the project a couple of weeks ago. Just a reminder that there is no roadside access to the site, but there is a public portage/scouting trail on river right.

view upstream of the new diversion. The boat chute is on river right about 50 feet upstream of the headgate and fish passage on river left.

View looking upstream at the boat chute, divider island and fish passage.

view looking upstream at drop 1 & 2 in the boat chute.

view looking downstream through drop 2&3 this section will be pretty fast, there is basically no pool between 2 & 3.

Drop 3 and the pool below.

upstream view of the fish passage on river left. my guess is it will be pretty runnable at higher flows.

The flow for all these shots was whatever it was running a couple of weeks ago. Probably around 200cfs. Thanks.

"Cooperation Rapid?"

Maybe that's what we can call the new rapid there. As opposed to a number of other things we could've called it indicative of the previous land owner's spirit.

The only question I have now is whether they'll be able to stock some freshwater sharks below the new rapid.

Great to see all the parties coming together to make this happen - CWCB, Basin Round Table, Ditch Company, and AHRA. Can't wait to run it this season!

Nothing in the world is more yielding and gentle than water. Yet it has no equal for conquering the resistant and tough. The flexible can overcome the unbending; the soft can overcome the hard. - Lao Tse

Nice. It will be fun to have something new to play with in the backyard. Thanks to everyone involved.
