I was just curious what the percentages of the active 'buzzers were in their types of whitewater flavors.

What if you're sorta a wanna-be traditional whitewater kayaker-type who sometimes ends up looking more like a swimmer or feeling kinda like a poser, even though you've been in a kayak and/ or raft enough times to know you'd downsize to a pair of waterwings and an inflatable alligator before you'd give up whitewater entirely?

oh gahd-- why do I suddenly feel one of those "Half the paddle, twice the man" debates coming on??

FWIW, I have a paddle buddy who swears up and down he's a C-1'er thru and thru... but when his boys call him up to go run V/ V+, the first thing he does is toss the single blade and break out the kayak.... I've personally seen it happen, I'm just not supposed to tell anyone about it.

Caspian: What's that funky kayaking style whereby you kneel in the cockpit with a special foam set up? It's different than the traditional version of sitting in the boat.

I remember a dude from West Virginia last year on the numbers who kayaked from this kneeling position AND paddled C1. Probably the finest boater I've ever seen.

Jeff, that's C1 style, isn't it? Maybe the correct terminology is "closed deck canoe" or something like that?
