Burn VS. 08 Hero VS. Ammo

What boat would work the best for a 5'8" 145 lbs. beginner? The Burn, Ammo, or the new hero? Thanks!

OK I'd say class III and IV would be realistic. Probably not creeks and yes on the big H2O. Thanks!

I've never been in one, but the Hero sounds like a good beginner boat. All the volume you could ask for, but a short planning hull (Fun series).

How about a Fun series? Downriver play is a great place to earn your skills.

Remix 59

The kids have been loving learning and running hard water in the Remix. Besides that it is hands down the most comfortable and adjustable outfitting out there. super easy to roll.

It is a long boat but has a retro planing hull that lets it turn and surf well.

Just took nine kids down the Dolores self support 7 in Remixes, 2 in Jefe's. We did 97 miles in six days. No worries at Snaggletooth even fully loaded. The hull speed was great and comfort was key on our 27 mile day.

I paddled the Burn briefly when a buddy got hurt and was underwhelmed. I have not paddled the other boats.

AMMO AMMMO AMMO I love mine! rolls easy, stable, comfortable I would say its the best boat I have ever been in. I also have a New Fun but for me 185lbs its strictly a play boat or for surfing at parks. I love my AMMO

For big water speed is nice, and the length of the burn will outrun the shorties.
