I was there kayaking that day too- they had released more out of Twin Lakes for a few hours and it was HUGE. Very fun.
What's weird is that the USGS daily records don't reflect that peak on June 23rd, and I know it was close to 7K. I remember talking about it with the CKS guys that afternoon, because it was so much bigger than the day before and some of the commercial guys were upset about not being notified about the extra water. If you check the DWR from that day, the release from below Twin Lakes was 1150cfs.
