Boulder Bash White Water Festival!!!

The "Boulder Bash" is coming to Boulder in coordination with the Boulder Creek Festival on May 29th. It will encompass just about anything imaginable one can do on "white water" from a "Head to Head Kayak Race", to a "Wacky raft race" to a "Tube Race to a "rip board Race". This event is being brought back to the Boulder Creek Festival after an extended Hiatus. Gary Lacy with "Recreational Engineering" and Chris Hoover With Mountain Maiden apparel are the "Brains behind the Bash". Both individuals are white water enthusiasts and are very excited to be bringing this exciting event back to Boulder.
The Kayak race will include several heats of semi professional and amateur paddlers, while the "Wacky Raft Race" is more of a "fun"event" in which all contestants are invited to "dress to impress" "wacky themes are encouraged! The Tube and Ripboard races will also be "head to head" formats and will also include several heats each. The races will start at10:00AM and the last heat will start somewhere around 4:00PM in the afternoon.
Willis will be playing, a Funky Jazz ensemble of 4 local Boulder boys, they will be jamming from about 1:00 to 4:00 in our sponsor area beside the library on the south side of the creek. Free inner tubes will be provided for those of you who want to join in the tube race on a spontaneous note, or you can also bring your own of course! There will also be various food, drink and sports gear vendors on site, so please come join in the fun!

It will start on the upper part of the kayak course and it will run a few blocks below the last drop on the course.
