Blue below Green Mtn?

Does anyone know whats going on with the Blue River below Green Mountain Resevoir? The cfs got pretty high last weekend according to the flows here on Mtn. Buzz. Are they letting water out on the weekends? Who are THEY and can I call them or go down to the dam to find out and then relay the information? Can we still only run it on the weekends? Has anyone ran it this year and is there any new wood on the run? Ive got lots of questions because thats such a great stretch of river. Thank You for any replies!

As other posters suspected to another question about the lower blue, the guage was broken. I spoke with one of the 'release' guys at the BLM on Tuesday, and he confirmed. The ~60cfs release shown on the guage now is what he incdicated they have been releasing.

My understanding from previous posts as well is that access is all week now, still during 'daylight' hours.

Interesting you got any release information from the BLM.

The best contact for Lower Blue Releases and Access Information is through Kara Lamb. klamb@gp.usbr.gov

She is out of the Bureau of Reclamation's Eastern Colorado Area Office (Loveland) and is a great person to deal with.
