I'm not a racing guy... unless you call hustling to the takeout to get a beer racing. But I'd come out wednesday this week.

It might be better to set it for wednesday next week to let flows drop to a more friendly level, which also might attract more participants.

I'm in for any day this week. Or next week. I'm polishing the bottom of my salto in anticipation.

I'm thinking the same format as last time, but we can make an audible if popular vote is for something different. Last time we ran teams of two (had 4 teams), last person in the pair to finish is the finishing time for the team. We did timed runs with each pair starting about 2 minutes apart. We set up people for safety on the 3 big ones. Finish line I think was the bridge after Rigo.

Last time we had 600 something cfs. There was a rain spike from 600 to 700 during the event, so it's hard to tell exactly, but I'm guessing low to mid 600s. I thought that was a good flow because most people will do the run at that level, but it still has some spice for the race.

Not exactly sure what flows will do, but we're dropping close to 100 cfs from peak at night to trough in late afternoon, and maybe 50 cfs from peak to peak. Last night it peaked near 750, probably upper 600s this evening. Guessing tonight it'll peak around 700. It's supposed to be a bit hotter tomorrow, so maybe it won't drop quite as much tomorrow night, but we're obviously getting low on snow.

Based on responses, I'd say it's a go. Thursday looks more popular. I'd try to give preferential treatment to the winners last year, but Alex likes Thurs and Cutch likes Weds.

Based on popular opinion, let's shoot for Thursday. Racers and people running safety meet at 5:30p at Rigo. My proposal is teams of 2, each team starts 2 minutes apart. We need a couple timers and people to set safety at the 3 big drops, so the more the merrier. I would propose keeping the boats under 9', but then I know I'm going to get smoked anyway, so doesn't make a big difference to me.

Tell yours friends.

Thursday works for me, may race, but willing to help with safety or timing if needed.
