It's fair to split the runs into thirds, with the top and bottom easy boogy water and a definite gorge in the middle. You'll be in and out of your boat a lot in the middle section where cutbanks and overgrowth make scouting and portaging slow. At flows over 200 things happen fast in the middle section and eddies are scarce, but everything can be walked. I'm only talking about the run from Torrey to Fruita, below that is roadside and there's only one rapid, the junky manmade cascade a few miles below fruita.

something is fishy with the flow data for San Raf.
There are several guaged tribs:
Flows per 5/25/08
Joes valley res. 325
Ferron Creek 200

BUT the san raf at green river says my math is should be at least 500????? plus other electric lake/huntington creek area!!!
Seems as though some peeps are stealing water for growing food or some useless shit like that?

Does anyone know WTF?

I am thinking the irrigation diversion could be below the black boxes? Any support of this hypothesis?

I've never boated before, but I have posted a lot on Mountain Buzz!
